Nestled in the Santa Ynez Valley about 35 minutes northeast of Santa Barbara is the quaint Danish village of Solvang.
The town of Solvang has several Danish bakeries, wine tasting, cheese tasting and other souvenir shops.
There is something for everyone throughout the area.
The valley is full of horse ranches, wineries, flower and vegetable fields.
About 3 miles from town is the Chumash Casino for the gamblers in your group.
The Quicksilver Ranch has the cutest miniature horses and is a must see.

March thru June they usually have foals in their pastures.
There is also an Ostrich Farm on the south side of town for you animal lovers.
I recommend staying at the Hadsten House Inn & Day Spa.
The staff couldn’t be friendlier.
A full breakfast in the morning and a glass of wine in the afternoon was included with the cost of the room.
Close by is the town of Buellton where the famous Anderson split pea soup is served.
We brought some home for our pet sitter and her mother!
This is one vacation that is close to home but feels like you have really gotten away from it all.
