CONGRATULATION ON YOUR BIG 60!!!

The JAL Avionet USA softball team participated in the annual JBA Softball Tournament on
September 13 at Rowley Park in Gardena. 
We played two games in relatively cool conditions.

The first one was at 8:30am on diamond #2 against Kline.
In the early innings it was a tough back and forth battle before they ultimately prevailed 12-5. 

Our second game was at 11:50am on diamond #3 against Enagic. 
We got off to a slow start and were never able to fully recover, with them prevailing 16-7. 

The good news is that no one suffered any major injuries and everyone had fun. 
Our team put on two gritty performances and represented us well. 
We fully enjoyed participating & will definitely be back to try again next year!

I visited Santa Fe, Taos, and Chimayo, New Mexico in June.
Santa Fe was the one of the places I wanted to visit for so long
because of its building style called "Adobe".

I really enjoyed the visit.
Downtown Santa Fe was exactly as I expected (or even better!)
The people were nice and the foods were great!

I would love to go back there again.                                             s.i.

I went to The Police concert last Tuesday at the Hollywood Bowl. 

It was the first time to go there and my first time seeing Sting and The Police perform in concert.  It was really fun, exciting and very loud.

メモリアルデーの3連休に友達とシアトルに行ってきました。
特に下調べもせず、有名だと言われるパイクプレイスマーケットとスペースニードルを中心に観光しましたが、
それはさておきとにかくシーフードが美味しかったです。

オイスターもサーモンも新鮮で美味しく、
レストランでカニをオーダーすると、2人でアメリカイチョウガニ一匹、ズワイガニ1匹、
タラバガニの爪のある足2本と不明なカニの足２本とが出てきました。
カニの前にクラムチャウダーやサラダやパンを食べていた私たちは、
最初はカニに大興奮していたのですが、あまりの量の多さに食べ進むにつれてテンションが下がり、
だんだんカニに伸ばす手がためらいがちに。。
最後には「疲れてる？」とまで聞かれてしまいました。　カニを食べて疲れるなんて。

いくら美味しいものでも食べ過ぎてはいけないということを学んだ夜でした。

I recently returned from my vacation to Japan.

I went to visit my girlfriend, so I spent most of my time in Tokyo,
but we did take a 2 day trip to Hakone (箱根) and that was a lot of fun.

We visited many of the famous places like the Hakone Open Air Museum (彫刻の森美術館), 
and the Fujiya Hotel (富士屋ホテル).

日本から来客があり、一緒にグランドキャニオンに行ってきました。なんと飛行機での日帰りツアーです。これが大人気で、私達が申し込んだ日は午前と午後の2往復催行されました（通常は1往復のみ）。

私達は午後出発で、着いた時は既に4時、慌しく2ヶ所のビューポイントをまわり、 2時間ちょっとの滞在で帰りのフライトとなりました。それでもすばらしい大自然のパノラマと、帰りは美しい夕焼け、そしてロサンゼルスの夜景も見れてとても満足でした。

飛行機は19人乗りのプロペラ機で、飛行高度が5000メートルちょっとのため、地上の様子もよく見えます。予想していたほどの揺れもなく、快適でした。コックピットの中も見せていただき、子供たちも（大人も）大変楽しんでいました。

ちなみにこのツアー、全員日本人でした。ロサンゼルスからグランドキャニオンまで日帰りで行こうとするのは、日本人くらいでしょうね。ディズニーランドやユニバーサルスタジオに行く感覚で、この日はグランドキャニオンに、といって申し込んでいるのかも。東京からの距離では、北は青森、西は岡山くらいの距離があるそうです。
